Port related activities require Prostruc to work in marine environments. This not only includes civil design of port facilities, wharves, piling & berthing but also often requires ship alterations for specific tasks & equipment upgrades including design and certification.
Prostruc has recently been required to provide design and advice for upgrades on the Queen of the Netherlands, the Boscalis barge on Melbourne’s dredging project and the Kan Tan IV recently berthed at Geelong for a re-fit.
Site design, piling and construction were carried out by Prostruc at Berth 32 South Wharf in advance of expansion of the turning basin in the Yarra River.
